Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Policy and Project Officers who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships. About your new role

The Policy and Project Officers will be responsible for supporting thedepartments objectives through policy development, project management, and stakeholder engagement. This multifaceted role involves contributing to the development of key policy projects and planning documents, including the Pricing Framework for APS and the annual national efficient price (NEP) and national efficient cost (NEC) determinations. The officer is expected to undertake research and quantitative analysis to inform policy proposals, draft ministerial and committee correspondence under tight deadlines, and manage the departments processes for releasing public hospital data for research.

What you will need to exceed

  • You must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to a high standard, adapting technical information for different audiences. This includes drafting ministerial correspondence, briefing papers, and reports for executive review.
  • You need to establish clear project plans and manage multiple competing priorities within tight timeframes to achieve results.
  • You should possess, or have the capacity to quickly obtain, a deep understanding of the legislation and policies governing hospital funding
  • Success in this role requires the ability to conduct thorough research and perform quantitative analysis across multiple sources to inform policy development.
  • A key skill is the ability to engage professionally with a variety of stakeholders, including committees and working groups, while anticipating their needs and incorporating feedback effectively.

Must have

  • The ideal candidate must have advanced expertise in using MS Projects and possess exceptional scheduling skills

Desirable

  • Experience in working in health for government
